About Oneplus’s dash charge:

Dash charge first debuted with the launch of OnePlus 3, where OnePlus promised 60% of full charge in just 30 minutes of charging.

Well as we all know that OnePlus is a small brand and one might be surprised or amazed to know how they implemented this fast charging technology.

But this Technology was implemented by Oppo first, which is a parent company of OnePlus. This fast charging technology was implemented in Oppo phones such as Oppo R9 and the Oppo F1 Plus.

Oppo called its quick charging technology as VOOC, Dash Charge is essentially a licensed version of that, but with OnePlus’s own name attached.

Differences between OnePlus’s dash charge and Other fast charging protocols:

To charge the battery faster we need to increase the power which is supplied to battery, we can increase the power supplied to the battery either by increasing voltage or by increasing current

Power = (Voltage (V)) * (Current (I))

OnePlus uses 5 Volts 4 Amps charger that gives the power output as 20Watt. By doing this OnePlus produces a larger electrical current rather than increasing the pressure, which results in a more stable and consistent charge.
